UCF is eager to play football in the fall, but the Knights are struggling to hold onto teams who want to play them.
UCF nonconference schedule took another hit Thursday when FIU announced it was delaying the start of all fall sports until Sept. 16, four days after the Panthers were scheduled to face the Knights on Sept. 12.
“Based on input from our FIU healthcare experts, the informed science surrounding COVID-19 and the current circumstances in our South Florida community, FIU is postponing all intercollegiate competitions through Sept. 16,” FIU announced with a statement released Thursday.
