UCF football received 61 votes in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Tuesday, which is 56 more votes than the team earned in the preseason poll.
The increase in votes comes after the Knights erased a 21-point deficit to win 36-31 over Boise State last Thursday at the Bounce House.
In the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, UCF received 48 votes, up from 29 in the coaches preseason poll. Knights head coach Gus Malzahn is one of 65 head coaches across the country who has a vote in the poll.
