The UCF football team hasn’t played a single down yet this season, but the Knights already find themselves climbing up the latest top 25 rankings.
After opening the season at No. 21 in both the Associated Press and coaches’ preseason polls, UCF moved up into the top 15 this week. The Knights jumped seven spots to No. 14 in the AP poll and eight spots to No. 13 in the coaches' poll.
Much of the movement can be attributed to both polls eliminating teams from the conferences not currently playing football this fall, including the Big Ten and Pac-12.
