UCF is currently scheduled open the season by hosting North Carolina at Spectrum Stadium on Friday, Sept. 4, followed by a trip to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech on Saturday, Sept. 18.
The ACC is currently weighing whether to alter its fall football schedule, potentially playing 10 conference games and one nonconference matchup, according to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy.
The move would satisfy the league’s desire to maintain in-state rivalry games with the SEC such as Florida State-Florida, Clemson-South Carolina and Georgia-Georgia Tech.
While North Carolina’s schedule doesn’t include an in-state rivalry game, the Tar Heels are scheduled to face Auburn in one of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sept.
