UCF coach Gus Malzahn added another familiar face to his coaching staff, hiring former Auburn assistant Addison Williams as the Knights’ new cornerbacks coach.
Williams agreed to a two-contract with an annual salary of $250,000, according to a compensation document obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Williams spent last season at Coastal Carolina as the safeties coach, helping the Chanticleers put together a record-setting season with an 11-1 record and top 25 ranking thanks, in part, to a passing defense that ranked third nationally with 16 interceptions.
He previously worked at Auburn as an analyst and an assistant under Malzahn in 2019 and before that, he spent several seasons at Furman, rising to the role of defensive coordinator in the spring of 2019 before leaving for Auburn.
