UCF focused on getting healthy as team prepares for Furman

After a brutal loss to Stanford in California, the UCF football team's weekend of mishaps trailed it to the San Francisco airport early Sunday morning.

UCF coach George O'Leary chose to leave some non-essential equipment items behind to be shipped back to Orlando later after being delayed for two hours as baggage handlers struggled to load the plane. The team left California at 5 a.m. after being originally scheduled for a 3 a.m. departure and arrived back home at 11 a.m. Sunday.

As a result of the physically — and mentally — taxing trip, O'Leary nixed his usual Monday morning practice on the field.
