Exactly one month ago, junior running back Dontravious Wilson said he knew what the UCF football team's focus would be during its season opener.
"When we play FIU, we're coming to establish the run game," Wilson said during the Knights' media day.
After enjoying years of run game success thanks to Kevin Smith, Latavius Murray and Storm Johnson, UCF took a dip in its production last season. Youth — among the running backs and offensive line — injuries and a veteran group of highly-productive receivers all contributed to the uneven rushing results.
But UCF will look to reclaim its reputation as a physical, smash-mouth run team during its season opener against Florida International University Thursday night.
