Much has been said about UCF’s defensive line entering the 2021 college football season with the addition of Auburn transfer Big Kat Bryant and the return of Kalia Davis, who opted out last season due the COVID-19 pandemic. And it’s not just those two.
The Knights have at least six members of the defensive line who made a minimum of two starts last year returning this season, including junior Tre’mon Morris-Brash, in addition to key rotational players like sophomore Josh Celiscar back as well.
Redshirt senior Anthony Montalvo, who started all 10 games last year at defensive tackle for the Knights, believes that amount of talent returning gives the unit a lot of confidence entering Thursday’s season-opener versus Boise State.
