UCF’s Richie Grant becomes the latest Knight to get drafted after the defensive back was taken by the Atlanta Falcons with the 40th overall pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Grant was a three-time first-team, All-American Athletic Conference while at UCF, where he appeared in 46 games for the Knights. He started 33 games where he finished with 290 career tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss and 10 interceptions. He also had 17 passes defended and five forced fumbles.
The Knights could tie a school record with four players drafted led by Robinson with safety Richie Grant, receiver Jacob Harris and cornerback Tay Gowan.
