For the second time this month the UCF Board of Trustees has had to cancel a special meeting in which a vote on the football stadium naming rights deal would have been held.
It’s unclear why the meeting, which was scheduled virtually for 5 p.m. Thursday, was canceled and if it will be re-scheduled at a later time. A university spokesperson confirmed the meeting was not happening but did not provide an explanation as to why.
As previously reported by the Sentinel, the UCF Athletics Association has been in negotiations with 3MG Roofing on a 12-year, $20 million naming rights deal that would re-name the football stadium “3MG Stadium.
