The distinct sound of a steel drum pierced the air.
The Caribbean vibe on display Thursday night was atypical of the normal hustle and bustle associated with football game day at Bright House Networks Stadium. It's a theme normally associated with, say, a tropical vacation.
Nonetheless, that's what fans arriving for the debut of the Carl Black & Gold Cabana were treated to — an oasis of sorts — featuring spacious seats, multiple bars, 4Rivers barbeque and a vacation vibe.
"You feel like you are getting on a cruise ship," said Junie Biddle, a UCF alumnus and faculty member.
