UCF running backs coach Ryan Held experienced his share of challenging jobs, working his way up through the coaching ranks at small schools and junior colleges in the Midwest during the past 15 years.
The hardest job, however, came in December 2014. That's when his mother, Theresa Held, called to tell him she was battling breast cancer.
While the news shook him to his core, the football coach responded the only way he knew how. Every single day, Ryan called his mom and delivered a motivational speech worthy of putting even Tony Robbins to shame.
