UCF has been looking for a big receiver/tight end type player in its recent recruiting classes and Saturday the Knights landed exactly that in 6-foot-6, 215-pound Justin McGriff of Tampa Jefferson.
McGriff, who can play either position, will likely be looked at mostly as a tight end. He is the third commitment to UCF’s 2018 recruiting class, joining offensive lineman Eric Seidelman of Orlando Bishop Moore, and Ocala Vanguard safety B.J. Crim.
McGriff’s said his main recruiter to UCF has been tight ends coach Sean Beckton, while Tampa-area recruiter Ryan Held, the UCF running backs coach, also had a hand in luring McGriff to Orlando.
