UCF basketball team needed to get off to a strong start in March with the American Athletic Conference Tournament looming around the corner and the Knights struggling through a mixed bag of performances during the past month.
And that's exactly what the Knights got once they found a rhythm with 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall, who helped UCF down Tulane 73-65 Wednesday night at CFE Arena. The win ended a seven-game losing streak for UCF (12-16, 6-11 AAC) dating back to Feb. 4, also against Green Wave (10-20, 3-14 AAC).
For the second consecutive game, the rookie center dominated on both ends of the court, tallying his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
