The National Championship celebration continues into the month of May.
A tweet from Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer’s account Thursday showed Dyer donning a UCF National Championship ring, before declaring “Go Knights, Charge On.”
“It was an unforgettable year for Orlando’s Hometown Team. I’m honored to receive my @UCF_Football undefeated national championship ring.#ChargeOn,” the tweet reads.
After finishing the 2017 season a perfect 13-0 and defeating Auburn in the Peach Bowl, UCF Athletic Director Danny White said the team was national champions.
As the celebration — which included a Walt Disney World Parade and a block party on Church Street downtown — unfolded, it riled up fans from Alabama, who won the College Football Playoff National Championship game against Georgia.
