What a weekend it’s been for the first-year Florida State football coach, whose downtrodden Seminoles not only blew out Duke on Saturday for a rare victory; they got a commitment from a quarterback who will give their beleaguered fan base some much-needed hope for next season.
Milton, the beloved former UCF quarterback who announced last week he was transferring, declared his intention to attend FSU on Twitter, posting a photo of himself in a Seminoles uniform Sunday afternoon with a one-word message: “Committed.”
“I think this is a great opportunity and a good fit for both sides,” Milton told me Sunday while back home in his native Hawaii for the holidays.
