When UCF quarterback Justin Holman was asked a few weeks ago what was the most difficult challenge of the season, he summed up his frustration in one word.
"Losing," he said with a chuckle.
That bitter taste of defeat is actually a somewhat foreign concept for most of the players on the UCF roster this season. Older players were around to celebrate the school's championships and bowl games. Out of the 12 athletes who signed with UCF in February, eight of them were competing for state titles last winter and Monte Taylor, who competed for ASA College last season, was on a team that posted a 6-2 season.
