Maybe now that he has stepped down, we can all appreciate George O'Leary's long-lasting legacy instead of dwelling on the brief, bitter ending.
He deserves to be remembered for all he did at UCF over a dozen years; not for what he couldn't do in his final few weeks.
Too bad it had to end the way it did on Sunday when the Father of UCF Football retired amid a winless season with the media badgering him to make the terms of his contract public and the fans clamoring for a new coach and a new direction.
