The size of the UCF basketball team's fight against Tulsa wasn't the problem during a 75-67 Sunday loss.
It issue, again, was the timing for the snake-bitten Knights who dropped their fifth consecutive game. The Golden Hurricane swept both meetings with UCF this season in front of an announced crowd of 6,437 fans at CFE Arena.
A late nine-point scoring spree by sophomore guard Adonys Henriquez almost put UCF in position to win its first conference game against a team outside of struggling USF, East Carolina and Tulane this season.
Although the Knights managed to chop the Golden Hurricane's once 16-point lead down and out-scored their opponent 45-39 in the second half, the spark came too late following a dry first half during which UCF landed just eight of 31 attempts from the field and just one of 12 3-point attempts.
