The list of positives keeps growing shorter for the UCF football team, but the Knights saw at least one breakthrough when C.J. Jones scored the team's first rushing touchdown of the season by a running back during the 52-7 loss to Cincinnati Saturday.
The fourth quarter one-yard touchdown by Jones, a redshirt freshman, also helped the school narrowly avoid being shutout this season for the first time. He set the touchdown up with a 51-yard rush, the longest for a running back this season. The second best run came the previous week against Houston, a 22-yard rush by junior Dontravious Wilson.
