Bianchi: O'Leary dismissal of Stanback another example of coach who won't sell soul for wins

One of the reasons I’ve always respected George O’Leary is because even when it might behoove him and make him more successful, he refuses to trade in his principles for victories.

His dismissal of one of his best players – running back Will Stanback – in the midst of a dismal 0-3 start is once again proof positive that O’Leary would rather lose the right way than win the wrong way.

Make no mistake about it, O’Leary’s injury-riddled Knights could certainly use Stanback in Saturday’s game against South Carolina. Let's face it, a victory over Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks would go a long way toward erasing the consternation created by early season losses to inferior programs such as FIU and Furman.
