IRVING, Texas – Just more than two years ago, Baylor's high-flying, up-and-coming football program helped thrust UCF into the pantheon of big-time college football and onto the minds of the Big 12 leadership.
Now, sadly, there is a fear that Baylor's low-hanging, down-and-out program might just hinder UCF's dream of joining the Big 12.
After the first day of the Big 12 Meetings Wednesday, it was hard to tell what was more damaging to UCF's chances of becoming a future Big 12 member – the upheaval at Baylor or the anti-expansion rhetoric of powerful Texas Athletics Director Mike Perrin.
