The coaching staff couldn’t say enough about the growth and maturity Gabriel showed during preseason camp as the quarterback made the development jump from Year 1 to Year 2 running the Knights' offense. So far, Gabriel has backed up their praise.
Gabriel has completed 67% of his passes (59 of 88) for 825 yards for eight touchdowns and an interception so far this season. At one point during the game against East Carolina, the sophomore completed a school-record 18 consecutive passes.
“The main goal was to get a win and that’s all we— can do," he said.
