UAB (4-3) is set to play the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Dec. 3 in Bartow Arena in the second game of a four-year series between the two schools.
UAB lost 75-74 in last year’s season opener game against the Tigers, which was played in Auburn Arena. The Blazers are 11-7 all-time against Auburn, and are playing the in-state rival at home for the first time since Nov. 22, 1996.
“The excitement for people, for our fans, the excitement for people around Birmingham to see this game, to see an instate SEC school come into Bartow Arena for the first time in a long time, I think the energy will be a huge advantage, as I felt it was last year for them at Auburn,” Head Coach Rob Ehsan said.
