BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — As UAB continues it’s work towards “The Return,” the Blazers and coach Bill Clark held Junior Day Saturday for over 300 juniors from around the state of Alabama.
The idea was to allow upcoming high school players a chance to see the program up close and in person after football was cut at the university.
“One of the things we lost last year was this relationship with the players,” Clark said. “I think now, with ’17 being such a big deal for us to really get back in the high school ranks, Junior Day for sure, but just our community.
