BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Chris Cokley scored 23 points, William Lee added 15 and pulled down 14 rebounds and UAB romped past Marshall 91-77 on Thursday night, playing its first home game since February 10.
The Blazers (18-12, 9-8 Conference USA) controlled the boards 51-31, dominated the paint 44-26 and outscored Marshall 19-11 on second-chance points.
UAB opened the scoring on a Cokley jumper and led by as many as 12 before Marshall fought back with a 22-11 run and a 32-31 lead late in the first half. Jalen Perry hit a 3-pointer and UAB took the lead right back.
