On Saturday, Feb. 4, the UAB Women’s Basketball team squared off with the University of Texas at San Antonio Roadrunners inside UAB’s Bartow Arena.
UTSA was efficient at converting shots by making 30 of their 60 attempts for an even 50 percent. Tesha Smith led the Roadrunners in scoring with 20 points. Smith made seven of her 12 shots, coming to 58.3 percent. The next highest scorer for the Roadrunners was Carlie Heineman, who scored a career high 18 points in Saturday afternoon’s game. Heineman did all of her damage from 3-point range, shooting six of nine from long range for a percentage of 66.
