The men’s hockey club, which kicked off its inaugural season this year, will play two back to back home games against the Louisiana State University Tigers on Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8 at Pelham Civic Complex.Photo from UAB Image GalleryWhile the team did play one game last year against Mississippi State and won 11-10, it was considered an exhibition game.
2016-2017 is the first season for the team in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, in which UAB will compete as a Division III team. The Blazers have already played one game against Auburn University, losing 13-1, will the lone goal being scored by Jakob Hornsby.
