BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Nate Darling scored 19 points, Zack Bryant and Jalen Perry added 17 apiece and UAB muscled past Chattanooga pounding the ball inside for an 89-47 win Monday night.
The Blazers (2-0) outscored Chattanooga 42-16 in the paint, held a 51-22 rebounding edge, including 35 defensive rebounds, and had 10 steals.
Darling was 7-of-11 shooting and had a pair of steals, Bryant was 4 of 6 from the floor and made 8 of 9 free throws. Chris Cokley scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds for his second double-double in as many games.
