On Tuesday night, in-state rivals UAB and the University of Alabama Crimson Tide clashed on the diamond at Regions Field.
Alabama pitching dominated throughout the night. UAB totaled just nine hits and did not score a run until the ninth inning.
The Crimson Tide jumped to an early lead in the second inning as they scored a run on a single. The game settled down until the fourth inning where Alabama added to their lead with a solo home run.
In the UAB half of the fourth inning, the game turned wild.
