IRVING, Texas –– Tulsa's Anthony Watkins was named to the American Athletic Conference's Honor Roll this week for his performance last Friday night against Navy.
The 5'11" sophomore running back and kick return specialist from Fort Worth, Texas, had two big runs covering over 70 yards for the Hurricane, including one from scrimmage and one kickoff return.
Watkins' 78-yard run from scrimmage in the first quarter set-up a 26-yard field goal that gave the Hurricane a 3-0 lead. He put Tulsa ahead 10-3 when he took the second-half kickoff 97 yards for a score.
