IRVING, Texas ––Tulsa men's basketball's Sam Griffin was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll following last week's games against Loyola Marymount and Southern Illinois. It is the second time Griffin has earned a conference honor roll selection this season.
Griffin led the Golden Hurricane in scoring in both games, averaging 18 points while shooting 45-percent from the floor. In Saturday's win against Southern Illinois, Griffin scored 20 points on 55-percent shooting. He also dished out three assists and pulled down two rebounds, and his plus-minus of 10 was second only to Curtis Haywood II.
