Tulsa’s Patrick Dever Shatters School 5,000m Record and Earns First Place at John McDonnell Invitational

shattered Tulsa's 5,000m record with his personal-best and first-place finish in the 5,000m Run Invitational, while the women's track and field team earned three top-three marks on Saturday night at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The teams return on Sunday to compete in the long jump, 4x100m relay, 800m run, 400m dash, 100m dash, 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay.

tallied a personal-best, program-best and top mark with a time of 13:28.08 in the 5,000m Run Invitational. TU's previous school record was 13:36.81 set by in 2015, a record he shattered by more than eight seconds.
