West Lafayette, Ind. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis team defeated No. 51-ranked Purdue in a 4-0 decision Sunday afternoon at the Schwartz Tennis Center in the West Lafayette, Ind. The No. 37-ranked Golden Hurricane went 2-0 over the weekend defeated No. 43-ranked DePaul, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.
Tulsa improves to 9-1 overall, while Purdue falls to 7-5 overall.
In doubles play, Renata Kuricova and Ksenia Laskutova defeated Andjela Djokovic and Nicole Robinson, 6-3, in the first flight. In the second flight, No. 55-ranked doubles team Martha Matoula and Rongrong Leenabanchong clinched the doubles point defeating Krisztina Kapitany and Marta Ruedas-Burgos, 7-5, taking a 1-0 match advantage going into singles play.
