Tulsa senior Maya Mayberry was tabbed to the American Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference Second Team, as announced today by the league office.
Mayberry, a guard from Tulsa, Okla., picked up all-conference third team accolades last season. She started in all 19 games and had 17 double-digit scoring contests and a team-best 14.3 points per game average as a junior. Mayberry recorded a season-high 28 points against Memphis (1-9-21) and eight rebounds against #14 South Florida (2-13-21) a year ago.
Tulsa was predicted to finish ninth in The American Preseason Coaches' Poll, with the full predicted order of finish of South Florida, UCF, Houston, Tulane, Temple, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Wichita State, Tulsa, SMU and Memphis.
