Tulsa senior Marc Scott finished the 5,000-meter run in second-place on Friday night at the Gilliam Indoor Track on the campus of Texas A&M University. Scott clocked a time of 13:43.83 to finish as the national runner-up behind defending champion Edward Cheserak of Oregon.
Cheserak finished with a time of 13:41.20, while third-place performer Amon Terer of Campbell clocked a time of 13:47.01.
On Saturday, Tulsa freshman Aleks Rapp will participate in the hammer throw, beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Scott is one of the favorites in the 3,000m, which takes place at 6 p.
