Tulsa alumnus Marc Scott turned in a time of 13:39.61 for a sixth-place finish in Heat 1 of the 5,000m Run at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which was just 0.19 seconds shy of qualifying for the Final.
Scott, who represented Great Britain in the Olympics, was in third place at the 1,000m mark, but was sixth, eighth and 10th at each subsequent marker. Scott pulled ahead four spaces in the final 1,000 meters to claim the sixth-place finish.
Earlier in the Olympics, Scott recorded a 14th-place finish in the 10,000m Run.
