Powers, who is from Spring, Texas, has a 3.7 grade-point average. He has interned at Honeywell as a process design engineer, designing combustion burners. For his senior project, Powers built an entire nano-brewery with a custom peristaltic pump for the brewing class at Tulsa. On the field, Powers has tallied 41 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception, one pass breakup and one QB hurry in 12 games this year.
