TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Volleyball commit Alli Evans was named Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Oklahoma as announced on Tuesday. The Gatorade Player of the Year award is in its 32nd year and recognizes one player from each state in a variety of sports.
Evans (Edmond, Okla.) led Edmond Memorial High School to a Oklahoma Class 6A state championship in 2016 while racking up 350 kills, 433 digs and added 60 blocks and 42 service aces. The outside hitter finished her career with 1,220 digs and 1,091 kills and helped the Bulldogs to runner-up finish at the state tournament in 2014.
