NORMAN, Okla. - Seniors Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles main draw on Saturday at the 2019 ITA Central Regional Championships. The championships, are being hosted by Oklahoma and played at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
The top-ranked tandem in the draw started the morning off with an 8-3 decision over Paulina Engback and Mei Ishimura of Central Arkansas. They then faced Missouri State's Alye Darter and Ellie Berger. The Bears advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Tulsa's Megan Hopton and Laia Conde Monfort, 8-6.
