The Tulsa rowing team announced that the Stone Cup against Oklahoma, which was originally scheduled to race on the Verdigris River in Catoosa, Okla., has been moved to the Devon Boathouse in Oklahoma City. The five races are set to begin at 11:00 am on the Oklahoma River on Saturday, April 30.
"We've had a lot of rain in the last few weeks and the US Army Corps of Engineers will be releasing some of the rain from the dams into the Verdigris River," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "The US Army Corps of Engineers has been very supportive of our rowing team and they want to keep us safe so we are moving the race to Oklahoma City to have a good racing environment.
