TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team earned a flawless 2-0 mark in singles on the first day of the main draw at the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships on Thursday.
Newcomer Kody Pearson squared off with Harrison Scott (Texas) in the first singles match of the day. Scott came into the match ranked No. 47 in the Oracle ITA preseason singles rankings.
In set one, both sides refused to give up serve, until Pearson broke to go up, 5-4. Pearson continued the momentum, eventually seizing the set, 6-4.
