TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's basketball team and the ALS Association of Oklahoma are teaming up to host the Tulsa Hoops for ALS Scrimmage this Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m., with free admission, and donations to help fight ALS are accepted throughout the contest.
The conclusion of the Golden Hurricane football team's game against South Florida will air on the video board for fans entering the arena.
"We are hosting this event because for the past couple of years, Covid has forced The Walk to Defeat ALS to go virtual," head coach Frank Haith said, "This scrimmage allows us to put our own little spin on the event and team up with a great organization to fight this terrible disease.
