WEST CHESTER, Ohio – Senior Luke Traynor won the individual championship, leading the Tulsa men's team to its third straight American Athletic Conference Championship Saturday at Voice of America Metropark. The TU women's team finished second, just two points behind SMU, 45-47.
With a time of 23:39.9, Traynor was the only runner to finish under 24:00 minutes. This was the third year in a row a Tulsa runner has won the conference individual title. The Golden Hurricane also claimed its seventh consecutive conference championship, dating back to its time as a member of Conference USA.
