The Tulsa men finished in 6th place in the field of 30 teams, its second-best finish in school history, behind last year's 5th place performance. The top-5 teams included Northern Arizona, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Stanford. The Hurricane finished above the nation's top-ranked coming into the event and the defending national champion BYU Cougars, which came in 7th place.
