TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team added shoulder pads to the practice routine on Sunday morning, for the first workout this fall camp in pads. The Hurricane went for 2+ hours on Harwell field as the temperature reached 89 with humidity at 57-percent.
"Always, the first day of pads the energy level is going to be high," said Tulsa head coach Philip Montgomery. "I was really pleased with the way we came out and practiced. We didn't overextend ourselves from a standpoint of somebody taking a shot we don't need to take. We took care of each other, but it was very physical and very competitive.
