Poor shooting and turnovers were Tulsa's nemesis Saturday afternoon as the Tulane Green Wave pulled away for a 71-47 victory over the Golden Hurricane in front of 377 fans at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Tulsa fell to 6-12 overall and 3-4 in league action, while Tulane improved to 13-5 and 4-2 in the American Athletic Conference.
Tulsa freshman Tyjae' Scales, making her first career start, led the Hurricane with a season-high nine points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Clark, Ashley Hughes and Tatyana Perez each scored eight points for Tulsa.
