TULSA, Okla. –– South Florida broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the seventh for a 2-1 victory over Tulsa Friday night in the first of a three-game series at the Collins Family Softball Complex.
USF improved to 36-12 and 6-4 in American Athletic Conference play, while Tulsa fell to 14-26 and 3-6-1 in league action.
Tulsa and South Florida will return to the field on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game.
With the score tied 1-1 heading into the seventh, the Bulls loaded the bases in the top half of the inning and scored on a sacrifice fly to center field with two outs.
