WACO, Texas – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane men's tennis squad (9-6) fell to the Texas A&M Aggies (6-3), 5-2, on Tuesday night in a weather-delayed neutral site match.
The doubles point played out to be a back-and-forth battle, as both teams split the first two doubles matches. Texas A&M picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1, but was quickly answered by Kody Pearson and Daniel Siddall's 6-4 win at No. 3.
In what came down to a tiebreak, the Aggies' Valentin Vacherot and Austin Abbrat edged Tulsa's Joshua Goodger and Tom Thelwall-Jones, 7-6(4), to secure the doubles point.
