Crystal Polk had a team-best 20 points, but it wasn't enough as Tulsa dropped a 71-49 decision at Wichita State on Monday night at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kan. TU fell to 12-17 on the season and finished with a 6-10 mark in American Athletic Conference play, while WSU moved to 12-17 overall and 5-11 in the league.
Alexis Gaulden added eight points and three steals, while Rebecca Lescay tallied seven points and a team-leading five assists. Polk also pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
Tulsa shot 35-percent from the field, but just 15-percent (3-of-20) from behind the arc and 37-percent (6-of-16) from the free throw line, while Wichita State shot 46-percent from the field, 38-percent from three-point range and 50-percent (11-of-22) from the line.
